An Explanation of Grinds

Grinds are listed in order of coarsest to finest.

(Note: We cannot grind flavored coffees finer than cone grind. The friction in the grinder generates heat, which causes the flavoring to burn away.)

Choose Whole Bean if you grind at home.

Our Coarsest Grind. Use for French Press  or to make Cold Brew.

On the Coarser Side of Medium. Use for Percolator.

Slightly Coarser than Drip Grind. Use for Keurig Machines or Drip Coffee pots with a reusable metal filter.

Medium Grind. The most common grind. Use for standard countertop drip coffee pot with a paper filter.

Fine Grind. Use for Pourover.
