Sparky’s Blend: A unique combination of dark roast coffees, inspiring you to start each day with your best foot forward.
Rob Miller, known to family and friends as ‘Sparky,’ was co-owner of Carrabassett Coffee Company for six years, until his sudden passing in May of 2019. Rob developed this combination of two Carrabassett Coffee Company favorites himself, and we have now made it available to you! A Maine local, he preferred to spend his time outdoors, skiing and fly-fishing. Because of ‘Sparky’s’ great enjoyment of nature’s offerings, a portion of proceeds from sales of Sparky’s Blend will be donated to charities which focus on helping others get out into the fresh-air.
For each pound of Sparky’s Blend, two dollars of the sale price will be donated, and matched by Carrabassett Coffee Company, to a local organization, which will change quarterly. (This is a $4 donation per pound!)
This quarter’s recipient of the Sparky’s Blend donations will be the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center.
The Adaptive Outdoor Education Center was founded by Annemarie and Bruce Albiston in December of 2015. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for all people with disabilities through adaptive outdoor recreation and education. With year-round opportunities available, the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center allows people with disabilities to enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing, fishing and more! With three fully accessible campuses in Maine, they also offer programs all over the state. We are most familiar with their Carrabassett Valley location and we are proud to be able to help contribute to this wonderful program.
