Coffee Prices Increasing Again

Coffee Prices Increasing (again)

Another coffee price increase is coming, effective September 1.

Here at Carrabassett Coffee Company, we’ve always prided ourselves on keeping our coffee prices low. This is why we offer deals like savings on five pound bags and our $1 off if you buy 3 pounds or more online deal, and even our 10% discount on auto-renew subscription coffees.

But, recent harvest yields have increased the price of green coffee beans significantly. As you’ve seen in the news, global coffee prices have been rising due to agricultural challenges and environmental factors. Ongoing effects of environmental climate issues with rainfall in important growing regions has reduced the volume of coffee available and driven prices up.

We have not yet felt the full effects of recent tariffs, because some of our coffee bean inventory was acquired just prior to the tariffs taking effect. However, we can’t predict how future tariffs will impact our coffee prices going forward, we are doing all that we can to limit the impact. Unfortunately almost all of our green coffee beans are imported into the country.

All of this means that we are forced to again raise our prices in order for us to keep roasting the coffee you love.

We recognize that we increased our coffee prices fairly recently (in April) so we know another price increase this year may come as a surprise. We tried to avoid raising our prices for as long as we could and a great deal of consideration went into making this decision.

Our coffee will increase by $1 per pound on September 1.
